1950: Humanic manufactures DYNAFIT ski boots
The Austrian Humanic company starts producing ski boots that later are known under the name DYNAFIT. These help legendary ski racers such as Franz Klammer and Leonhard Stock achieve many victories. 19 years later, DYNAFIT incorporates as its own brand.
1984: Invention of the first pin binding
Fritz Barthel has a brilliant idea to make ski touring easier: He builds metal pins onto the toe piece of a binding and creates a boot with coordinating notches. The first pin binding comes into existence.
1990: Launch of the first boot-binding combination
DYNAFIT launches the “Tourlite Tech,” the first boot-binding combination based on Barthel’s invention. This revolutionizes ski touring thanks to its unsurpassed lightness and efficiency.
2003: DYNAFIT becomes part of the Oberalp Group
DYNAFIT joins the Salewa group, that has been part of the South Tyrol Oberalp Group since 1990. That allows DYNAFIT to fully focus on the development of innovative ski touring products.

2005: Brand relaunch
The snow leopard is introduced as the new company logo as part of the brand relaunch. It clearly signifies what DYNAFIT represents in mountain sports: Lightness, efficiency and speed. In addition, DYNAFIT establishes itself as a full-line brand in the ski touring segment in its focus on entire systems instead of singular products.
2012: First summer collection
DYNAFIT introduces a trail running collection for the first time and with that becomes an all-season outfitter for products head to toe. The mission to equip ambitious mountain sports enthusiasts with the most efficient system all year round sets the course for the future.
2023: Introduction of the DYNAFIT Lifetime Guarantee
The DYNAFIT Lifetime Guarantee is a new promise of quality and sustainability. With that, it is guaranteed that DYNAFIT products will function for 10 years just as they did on the first day.
2024: 40-year anniversary pin binding & grand opening of a new headquarters
DYNAFIT celebrates 40 years of the pin binding with all its many innovations in the binding category. In addition, the DYNAFIT Speed Factory is opened in Kiefersfelden, Bavaria, Germany, as the new company headquarters.
