Snow Leopard Day: Vertical meters for a good cause

Snow Leopard Day: Vertical meters for a good cause

After a two-year break, it is finally back: The legendary DYNAFIT International Snow Leopard Day is making its big comeback on March 7 and 8, 2026, inviting ski tourers and, for the first time, trail runners from around the world to put their passion to the service of a good cause. Under the motto “Speeding up to protect the snow leopard,” we’re racking up elevation together. For every meter of elevation gained, DYNAFIT will donate a cent to the Snow Leopard Trust, which has been working for over 40 years to preserve the rare wildcat.

Terms of participation

A total of 14 official venues are participating this year. On site, there’s DYNAFIT test gear to borrow, plus a program with music and food. Those who are not present on site can simply collect their altitude data via GPS on March 7 and 8 and then upload it by March 8 at 18 o’clock (CET).

Donation project 2026: Frozen Peaks

The snow leopard isn’t just the logo of DYNAFIT, it also represents exactly what we stand for: endurance, speed, adaptability. But its habitat is shrinking, and the population is considered endangered.

That’s why we support 2026 das project “Frozen Peaks: Protecting the Snow Leopard’s Glaciers” of the Snow Leopard Trust. Together with international partners, the initiative is committed to protecting the high mountain ecosystems in southern Kyrgyzstan and preserving the habitat of the endangered snow leopard. A key focus is on protecting the glaciers, which are essential for the local water supply. The donations help turn scientific findings into new legal foundations for glacier protection and push forward important conservation measures in the Pamir-Alay Mountains.
